Is Onyx Storm Clean? Profanity and Content Guide for the Audiobook

Onyx Storm is the third book in Rebecca Yarros's dragon rider series, and if you have read the first two you know what you are getting into. This is the heaviest book in this group by a wide margin. Sexual content alone is about an hour and a half of audio across 91 moments, with 47 of them severe, and the longest single scene runs over fifteen minutes. Profanity is constant: 693 moments, 319 of them severe, adding up to almost eight minutes on its own. Violence adds another seventeen minutes, mostly moderate, and there are two longer romance scenes as well. Altogether two full hours come out of a twenty-four hour book, about eight percent. That sounds like a lot, and it is, but the dragons, the war, and the politics all survive the cuts, and the skips are tied to the actual audio rather than guessed at. For an adult who loves the world and wants it without the explicit scenes, I'd filter sexual content, romance, and profanity and leave violence on. Expect a handful of noticeable jumps in the middle of the book where the long scenes come out. I would not hand this to a teenager, filtered or not; the series is written for adults.
